Dr. Niloo M. Edwards is a graduate of Columbia College, Columbia University, and received his medical degree at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons. He performed his internship in General Surgery at the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital. Dr. Edwards performed his residency in General Surgery at the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital. He did two Fellowships in Research at Columbia University on Primate Heart Transplantation. Dr. Edwards subsequently completed a Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons. He later practiced adult cardiac surgery as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he also served as Director of Cardiac Transplantation at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He then went on to become the Professor and Chair of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, where he also served as Director of Cardiac Transplantation. Dr. Edwards joined Albany Cardiothoracic Surgeons, PC in 2011, where he serves as Chief of Cardiovascular Services. Dr. Edwards is Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery, and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
