Dr. Marek Polomsky, a graduate of Northwestern University, received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery Residency at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry – Strong Memorial Hospital, which included a 2-year Research Fellowship in thoracic/foregut surgery and esophageal physiology. He completed his Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. Prior to joining Albany Cardiothoracic Surgeons in 2018, Dr. Polomsky was a Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey, where he also served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Polomsky is certified by the American Board of Surgery and Thoracic Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
